The initial term is one month. Renew month by month by paying in advance, buy the deck, or return it at the end of a lease term. Expedeck retains ownership until all required payments are made and the agreement is satisfied, or the early-purchase option is exercised. The displayed $70/month for 120 payments is before taxes and fees; the signed agreement specifies the actual term and total cost. Initial charges can include the initial rental payment, sales tax, security deposit, optional liability damage waiver, and optional zone haul fee.

After the initial payment, you may acquire ownership by paying 60% of the difference between the total cost stated in paragraph 6 and rental payments already paid, excluding taxes, reinstatement fees, and other charges. You may terminate without penalty at the end of any lease term by returning or surrendering the deck in good repair, ordinary wear excepted, and paying past-due rent and other amounts due.

A $20 late fee applies if a renewal payment is not made within 10 days after the renewal date. Returned checks carry a $50 fee. The optional liability damage waiver costs $12/month. Taxes, reinstatement charges, pickup/redelivery costs, and default-related charges are additional where applicable. The security deposit amount is specified in the agreement; paragraph 13 governs deductions, restoration, refund eligibility, and return within 20 days of expiration. If a zone haul fee applies, half pays the delivery driver and half is held as a nonrefundable deposit applied toward payoff if you acquire ownership.

You are responsible for loss, theft, destruction, or damage beyond normal wear, with liability not exceeding the deck's fair market value at the time of loss. Maintain property insurance at least equal to the cash price, in your name, with Expedeck as additional insured and loss payee. The optional $12/month liability damage waiver is not insurance. When all required payments and waiver fees are current, it covers loss or damage from fire, storm, flood, or other acts of God; it excludes unexplained disappearance or abandonment, intentional damage, and willful or wanton misconduct.

Care for and maintain the deck throughout the rental. Wood decks must be properly stained and/or sealed at least every three years from delivery or installation. You may do the work, hire a qualified third party, or hire Expedeck at its current service rate. You pay for cleaning, routine maintenance, staining, and sealing unless otherwise agreed in writing, and are responsible for neglect-related damage to the extent permitted by law. Expedeck may request an inspection approximately every three years, with reasonable notice and a mutually agreed time. Entry requires your permission at the scheduled inspection. You will have a reasonable opportunity to complete customer-responsibility corrective work.

Keep the deck at the agreed address. Obtain written consent before moving or altering it, adding equipment, connecting utilities, or affixing it so removal would damage it. Do not sell, mortgage, pawn, pledge, encumber, dispose of it, or assign your agreement rights without consent. Provide lawful delivery and collection access, notify property owners or landlords of Expedeck's ownership, and remove your belongings before return or collection. The agreement addresses unclaimed contents, delivery/property damage, permits, code requirements, and limitations of liability. It excludes responsibility for wood warping, cracking, or splitting.

Paragraph 15 describes reinstatement through payment of past-due rent, applicable late fees, and reasonable pickup/redelivery costs. For a deck returned or voluntarily surrendered during the applicable reinstatement period, the agreement provides at least 21 days after return if less than two-thirds of ownership payments were paid, or at least 45 days if two-thirds or more were paid. Pickup does not remove the reinstatement right. Default can also involve collection costs, court costs, and reasonable attorney's fees under the agreement.

Recurring bank or card payments require a separate authorization stating the amount and monthly payment date. Written notice of account changes or cancellation is required at least 15 days before the next billing date. Weekend or holiday payments may process the next business day. Rejected ACH payments may be retried within 30 days, with an additional $50 charge for each attempt returned for insufficient funds. Paperless invoices go to the email supplied. The agreement also contains account-contact and information-gathering authorizations.

Any applicable remaining manufacturer's express warranty transfers when you acquire ownership, subject to its terms. The agreement specifies Lewis County, Washington for claims and includes consultation and dispute-resolution provisions. Claims exceeding $20,000 are subject to binding arbitration under its stated rules; the agreement describes the jury-trial waiver and permits opting out by written notice within 30 days. Electronic signatures are permitted. Read all provisions, including limitations of liability, before signing; do not sign with blanks remaining, and keep a signed, legible copy. Changes require a writing signed by both parties.
